Reports Suggest M4 MacBook Air Could Launch This Week
Leaks about the M4 MacBook Air have been coming in for a while now, and the launch was expected at the latest by the end of Q1 2025.
Now, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has shared in his newsletter that Apple will be launching the M4 MacBook Air as early as this week.
Moreover, Apple announced the M3 MacBook Air in March 2024. It was an incremental upgrade from the M2 MacBook Air, which launched back in June 2022.
The M4 MacBook Air is also expected to be an incremental upgrade, as it will feature the same design (13-inch and 15-inch models) with the base M4 chip.
The M4 processor will offer better efficiency and battery life, and it is also 25% faster than the base M3 processor in terms of multi-core CPU performance.
The M4 MacBook Air might also feature an upgraded 12MP Center Stage camera, up to 32GB of RAM, three Thunderbolt 4 ports, support for two external displays, and more.
