iOS 18.4 Beta 4 Now Available With 12 New Features
Image Playground
Apple's Al image generation app, Image Playground, supported only two image styles at launch. Now, the third 'Sketch' style has been added to the app.
Apple Vision Pro App
Apple has released the Vision Pro app as promised. It gets automatically installed on your iPhone after updating to iOS 18.4 if you own an Apple Vision Pro.
New Languages
Apple Intelligence will support more languages including French, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, and simplified Chinese, localized English for Singapore and India, and more.
Pause App Downloads
You can now pause app updates directly from the Update List in the App Store instead of doing it from the Home Screen.
Genmoji
Apple has replaced the colorful emoji icon — used to create Genmojis from the keyboard — with a larger button labeled 'Genmoji.'
Control Center AI Widgets
Apple has added three new Apple Intelligence toggles in the Control Center to provide quicker access to Apple Intelligence: Talk to Siri, Type to Siri, and Visual Intelligence.
Apple News+ Food
The Apple News app has a new 'Food' section for Apple News+ subscribers. It features recipes, healthy eating tips, and more from top publishers.
New Emojis
Seven new emojis have been added with the iOS 18.4 update: Face with Bags Under Eyes, Fingerprint, Leafless Tree, Root Vegetable, Harp, Shovel, and Splatter.
Ambient Music
The Control Center now features a new 'Ambient Music' toggle, offering four sound categories: Sleep, Productivity, Chill, and Wellbeing.
Visual Intelligence
Apple has added Visual Intelligence to the iPhone 15 Pro series. The feature can be accessed through the Action Button or the Control Center, since those devices don't have a Camera Control button.
CarPlayUpdate
With iOS 18.4, the CarPlay Home Screen now displays three rows of icons instead of two. However, this change is currently limited to certain cars.
Priority Notifications
The Prioritize Notifications feature is powered by Apple AI and displays notifications separately on the lock screen. Users can select which apps they want to prioritize for notifications.
