Apple Aims To Enhance Child Safety With  iOS 18.4

Beginning with iOS 18.4, Apple will make it easier to set up Child Accounts and control access to online content without sharing the child's birthdate.

Parents can instead select from an age range: Child (12 or younger), Teen (13 to 17), and Adult (18 and above). Apple will automatically apply appropriate settings even if the setup is not completed.

Apple will also introduce a way to share the age range with third-party apps, allowing developers to display age-appropriate content.

Moreover, the App Store is being updated to prevent children from accessing apps that exceed their age limit.

Parents have complete control over whether they want to share their child's age range, with the goal of giving them more control to keep their children safe online.
