iOS 18 supported devices: All compatible iPhone models

At WWDC 2024, Apple introduced the latest generation of the iPhone’s operating system, iOS 18. As speculated by prominent leaksters and analysts alike, iOS 18 is truly one of the biggest iOS updates so far.

The all-new iOS 18 comes with a customizable home screen, revamped Control Center ability, top-of-the-line Apple Intelligence features, an improved Siri, a new Eye-Tracking accessibility feature, and much more. Wondering whether your iPhone will receive the update? Here are all the supported iPhone models that will run iOS 18.

iOS 18 compatible devices

Apple typically offers five years of iOS updates to its existing iPhone models and drops an older version from the compatibility list every year. Surprisingly, Apple didn’t repeat the same pattern with iOS 18, as all the iPhone models that support iOS 17 will also receive the new version, meaning even the iPhone XS supports iOS 18.

Here’s the complete list of iOS 18 supported iPhones:

  • iPhone 15, 15 Plus
  • iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max
  • iPhone 14, 14 Plus
  • iPhone 14 Pro, 14 Pro Max
  • iPhone 13, 13 Mini
  • iPhone 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max
  • iPhone 12, 12 Mini

In true Apple fashion, the upcoming iPhone 16 lineup will come with iOS 18 right out of the box.

When will my iPhone receive the iOS 18 update?

Since the Cupertino-based tech giant announced iOS 18, the first Developer Beta version is already available for developers to test their apps. General users have to wait until fall for the release of the stable versions but can install the Public Beta when it arrives in July if they can’t wait to get their hands on all the new features.

If you are a developer who has previously enrolled in iOS beta, you can install the iOS 18 Developer Beta on your compatible iPhone right now. All you need to do is head over to SettingsGeneralSoftware UpdatesBeta UpdatesiOS 18 Developer Beta.
