Your iPhone wallpaper can reflect your personality and preferences or make you smile whenever you look at it. Fortunately, there are tons of apps that offer an endless selection of wallpapers to match every taste and criteria, from nature scenes to quotes, graphics, animations, and, of course, the ever-popular live wallpapers. Keep your Home screen and Lock screen looking fresh with these best iPhone wallpaper apps.
What are the best wallpaper apps for iPhone?
1. ZEDGE™ Wallpapers & Ringtones
Don’t you believe in the saying, “The more, the merrier?” If you do, then you need to check out Zedge. It has a great collection of wallpapers and ringtones, which is why I believe it is one of the best iPhone wallpaper apps.
The app features many artists, and you can see and appreciate their content using Zedge credits. To earn Zedge credits, you can either watch ads or buy them. While you can appreciate artists using credits, many free wallpapers for your iPhone Lock Screen on the app don’t require the user to spend any credits.
Since there’s already a revenue method, Zedge prefers not to bombard you with ads, offering an ad-free experience. All these perks make it one of the best wallpaper apps for your iPhone.
Although most of the wallpapers have Depth Effect support, adding a dedicated category would make it easy to find them.

Cons
Price: Free (In-app purchases start at $0.99)
2. Lockd Lock Screen Wallpapers
While many apps offer wallpapers for your iPhone Lock Screen, if you are looking for something dedicated to Depth Effect, Lockd is your answer. The app features a good-looking and easy-to-navigate UI. When you open the app for the first time, it will ask you to select topics of your choice.
The app will then give you a personalized feed, but when you are about to download it, you will be disappointed to see the HD version locked behind premium. As for the SD version, you are bound to watch an ad to unlock it. You can follow our guide to download free depth effect wallpapers for your iPhone Lock Screen.

Cons
Price: Free (In-app purchases start at $9.99)
3. Lock Screen Wallpapers +
The first thing that surprised me about the Lock Screen Wallpapers + app was that there were no ads despite its great features. I was in love with this within the first few minutes of using it. In addition to not bombarding you with ads, the app also comes with a guide on how to use wallpapers on your Lock Screen.
A great plus for the users who still don’t know how to do it (Well, you won’t have that confusion after you check our guide to the same ). While the app promises that all of its wallpapers are compatible with the Depth Effect of iOS 16, many didn’t work for me.
In addition, many good ones were locked behind the premium subscription. I hope the team can look into it and improve the collection.

Cons
Price: Free (In-app purchases start at $2.99)
4. Unsplash
Unsplash is not limited to a wallpaper app; it can bring you images for various occasions. It comes with a huge, expanding collection of beautiful, copyright-free, high-quality pictures. Since the app has a clean interface, it’s easy to navigate to the wallpaper of your choice.
And what if you want to share some pictures with the community? Unsplash has the option for that, too, and you can be part of the community of some amazing professional and amateur photographers worldwide. So why wait? Check out this free wallpaper app for iPhone now!

5. Walli: Cool Wallpapers HD, 4K
Want a platform where you can follow and support your favorite artists? Look nowhere else as Walli is here. Here, you can interact with artists through their works. Apart from supporting the creators, the app makes sure to give you the best user experience. You won’t see a single ad from the UI for downloading the content.
This must be highly appreciated as many apps force you with banner ads even to navigate through them. And before downloading them, you can choose the resolution (vertical or landscape), which is a good thing to have. I would have loved to see a dedicated section for Depth Effect wallpapers, though.

Cons
Price: Free (In-app purchases start at $1.99)
6. Live Wallpapers for Me
If you are not into Depth Effect wallpaper and are more into Dynamic Wallpapers, then you are in the right place. The Live Wallpapers for Me app has many live wallpapers available for your iPhone.
New live wallpapers are added weekly, which you can save and store as favorites. However, I would have appreciated it if the length and frequency of unskippable ads could have been trimmed.
Pros
Cons
Price: Free (In-app purchases start at $0.99)
7. Vellume Wallpapers
Once you open the Vellume wallpapers app, you will love how beautiful it looks. Thanks to hundreds of stunning images, the same can be said for its wallpaper collections. Moreover, the wallpapers are updated daily, so you will never run out of the best wallpapers for your iPhone Lock Screen.
Before downloading, you can use the blur tool to create a blur over the wallpapers. However, the UI is plagued with ads. Thanks to their short duration, you won’t feel that frustrated despite the full-screen ads. Lastly, you can upgrade to premium for more curated images and also get away from ads.
Pros
Cons
Price: Free (Vellum Premium – $2.99)
8. Kappboom – Cool Wallpapers
The Kappboom – Cool Wallpapers app is too crowded, like its wallpaper collections, thanks to its tons of features. While it may seem great, its not-so-good UI confused me about what and where the things I wanted were.
At times, using the app can be a huge pain, primarily because finding what we want can be time-consuming. I hope the team will address this issue soon and make the app more user-friendly.
Pros
Cons
Price: Free (Remove Ads – $1.99)
9. MyScreen – Live Wallpapers
Bring your screen to life with the MyScreen live wallpaper app for iPhone. There are various categories of wallpapers, be it sports, animals, space, abstract, nature, patterns, and more. But mind you, the app warns the users that wallpapers in the app are primarily made on the dimensions of iPhones with Notch.
But not everything is in favor of the app. The primary issue for me is with its UI and the bombarding of ads. Both of these heavily affected my experience and prompted me to use the app just occasionally.
Pros
Cons
Price: Free (In-app purchases start at $2.99)
10. Depth Effect Wallpapers
Not a fan of tons of categories and features within the app? Then, the Depth Effect Wallpapers app should be your choice; it has minimal UI and does not require any complex steps. Give free rein to your creative expression with this app’s vibrant collection of HD wallpapers.
There’s a beautiful array of wallpapers spread from abstract art to neon art and much more. However, you have to either watch an ad or subscribe to the premium plan to download the wallpaper.
Pros
Cons
Price: Free ($2.99 for no ads)
