Leaks suggests iPhone 17 Pro Models to Feature 12GB RAM

The iPhone 17 series is expected to launch in September, and many details about its design, display, camera, and more have already leaked.

9to5Mac spotted a new analyst note from Jeff Pu, revealing that the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will feature 12GB of RAM. This upgrade will enable more advanced AI capabilities on these devices.

Jeff  Pu also noted that the shift to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM will contribute to a 3.5% YoY increase in DRAM content across 100 million new iPhones.

For context, Apple Intelligence is only available on iPhones with 8GB of RAM. While it is supported on the iPhone 15 Pro series, the base iPhone 15 models do not support it.

All iPhone 16 series models, including the newly launched iPhone 16e, feature 8GB of RAM, as Apple Intelligence requires higher RAM for AI tasks.
